The opportunity

The client has over 40 years’ experience in providing high quality and specialised Sheet metal, CNC, Plastic Processing and Fabrication Machinery to manufacturers throughout New Zealand. With their offices based in Penrose, Auckland, they supply and service a diverse range of manufacturers. They are very well respected for their servicing capability and the high quality of their suppliers’ machinery. The client promotes strong relationships with key quality machinery brands which have being a hallmark of their success in delivering quality machinery and service to their customers.  

 

The role

You will be responsible for installation, servicing and modification of machinery at customers sites including optimizing existing business and growing the ability to secure service agreements.  Your initial territory will be New Zealand.  A secondary but equally important part of the role is to meet the requirements of the manufacturers’ recommendations for the servicing of their machines. 

 

There is an existing customer base to be serviced, but ultimately you will also work to ensure that you respond positively to our customers’ requests for technical information by phone and or email in assisting them with trouble shooting for repair and or retrofit of their machinery.

 

What you'll bring

• Experience in the installation and servicing for CNC machines
• At least 5 years technical installation and services experience, with Haas or CNC machines,
• A strong interpersonal skill set across both new business and managing existing relationships,
• An eagerness, passion and hunger to deliver excellent service for high quality and respected machinery,
• A collaborative approach which will contribute to a team who work well together,
• The ability to prioritise competing priorities at various levels within the customers organisation, from operators to senior management,
• Demonstrated ability to actively promote and sell your skills and services to our customers
