The role
You’ll be responsible for a capable team of Die Setters and Machine Operators ensuring the night shift (11pm-7am) is running efficiently. You’ll use your people skills to engage the staff and create a positive and safe working environment. You’ll also use your knowledge and experience to improve processes and quality. You need to be able to work independently, be practical and be good with people.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the team, labour and production demands.
- Ensure mechanical related issues are addressed in a timely manner to decrease amount of stoppages and downtime.
- Work with the team to implement improvements, deliver quality and meet production targets.
- Actively promote Health and Safety and help to raise Safety Standards.
Skills and experience
- Plastic experience is expected.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical aptitude and solution focused.
- Good communication skills.
- Hands on, motivated and down to earth personality.
